MRI #4

Monday morning brought on MRI#4 for this sweet girl. We have managed to figure out the MRI system pretty well and luckily the oncology team is amazing and helps us get a 7am MRI check-in time so LadyBug doesn’t have to go too long without food or water. We can literally wake up, get her dressed, and head out the door without any time to ask for any chocolate milk or donuts. Once we get to the hospital all the toys and fish tanks seem to easily distract her. J

This MRI was probably the worst one we’ve had so far. Not that anything went terribly wrong… it’s just we have a kid that doesn’t like to sleep. Even with 4 doses of IV sedatives she still managed to fight off the sleepiness and wake up kickin’ and screaming! We were about 3 scans short for what they needed to get but they got the most important ones so we at least won that battle!

We continue to see just how blessed we are to have everyone’s love and support. We believe with all of our hearts that all of your love and support is scaring the crap out of these tumors and they are running with fear. Often times with low grade Optic Nerve Glioma’s they do not see much of a change in size however luckily for us this time around we were able to see a small amount of shrinking!!!! It’s not a lot of change and barely measurable but it's movement in the right direction!

Sleepy and Cozy… the only time she stops to snuggle
